What is agentic AI for regulated industries?
Agentic AI for regulated industries is AI that takes actions inside banks, insurers, factories, hospitals and public bodies, under the rules those sectors report against. elan1 configures the same four platforms for each sector: agents take the routine work, every action is allowed, sent to a named person or refused, and each decision is recorded for auditors.

Agentic AI in regulated industries: common questions
Which industries does elan1 build AI agents for?
elan1 configures its four platforms for six sectors: banking and financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail and distribution, healthcare and life sciences, and the public sector. Each industry page sets out the first use cases, the systems involved and the regulations we map to. The platforms stay the same; the rules, approvers and thresholds change.
Does a person still approve what an AI agent does?
Yes. Every agent action is allowed, sent to a named person or refused, by rules you set, and each outcome is recorded with who decided and why. Routine actions you have already allowed go through without waiting. Anything that moves money, touches a customer or changes the books above your threshold waits for its approver.
Is elan1 certified for regulated industries?
No. elan1 holds no security certifications today, and none of the four platforms is generally available yet. Our regulation mappings are drafts for your counsel and auditors, not certification, legal advice or regulator approval. When an audit starts, we will list it in the trust centre with its scope, before any result.
Where is customer data hosted?
Customer data is hosted in AWS Mumbai across 3 availability zones, with no US region, so it stays in India. elan1 Run is designed to run on infrastructure you name, such as your own cloud account in India. On-premises and air-gapped deployment are on the roadmap, and new regions open only on a signed contract.
How should a regulated business start with AI agents?
Start with one process that has a clear owner, a clear rule and enough volume to matter, such as an alert queue, a claims inbox or an ERP change. The agent runs in shadow on your past cases first, you set the threshold, and a person you name approves every action that commits.
Start with one process.
Pick the process that costs you the most in review time. We configure it; you keep the approval.
