elan1 Decide: Decision intelligence

Fast on the routine. Careful on the rest.

Millions of everyday decisions, made in milliseconds, with a person on the hard ones. Every answer says how sure it is, and where it went next.

Bring one decision

What is decision intelligence?

Decision intelligence is the use of AI models to make or recommend routine operational decisions, such as triaging a claim or routing a ticket, with each answer's confidence stated. elan1 Decide answers in one fast pass, acts only where confidence clears a threshold your risk owner signs, and sends uncertain cases to a person.

The problem

Rules can't read it. LLMs can't afford it.

Most enterprise decisions are snap judgements. Is this claim urgent? Which queue gets this ticket? Rules break on messy documents. Large AI models are too slow and costly for every event. People run out of hours.

Over 40%

of agentic AI projects are expected to be cancelled by the end of 2027, because of cost, unclear value or weak risk controls.

How it works

From question to answer, in 5 steps.

  1. Step 01

    Arrives

A claim, ticket, invoice or alert comes in.

  2. Step 02

    Answers

One fast pass returns typed answers, each with a confidence.

  3. Step 03

    Routes

Confidence and risk choose the path: act, review, escalate or hold.

  4. Step 04

    Acts through Govern

If a record would change, elan1 Govern decides whether it does.

  5. Step 05

    Learns

Outcomes come back and keep confidence calibrated.

Answers

One fast pass

A small, fast model answers every question at once. Personal data is masked first and stays in-region.

Kinds of typed answer:
  • Yes or no
  • A choice from a list
  • A score

Each with a stated confidence.

Routes

Routed by confidence and risk

  • ActAnswers the model is sure of trigger the action.
  • ReviewUncertain answers go to a reviewer.
  • EscalateHard cases go to a reasoning model.
  • HoldThe rest wait. Fail toward a human, never toward an action.

Acts through Govern

Outcomes

Real outcomes are joined back, so confidence stays honest.
Every answer is typed and carries its confidence. Confidence and risk choose the route, and any change to a record passes through elan1 Govern.

What it does

Typed answers, stated confidence, a person in reach.

    Decisions designed without code

Decide judges. Govern decides what's written.

elan1 Decide sits in the applications layer beside elan1 Work. It works out what the answer probably is and how sure it is. elan1 Govern decides whether any record changes. Both run on elan1 Run.

FAQs

Questions, answered plainly.

What buyers ask first about elan1 Decide.

Which decisions does elan1 Decide make on its own?

Only routine ones, where confidence clears a threshold your risk owner signs. Credit, anti-money-laundering outcomes, clinical intake and hiring are always recommend-only: a person decides. Every other answer carries a stated confidence and is routed to one of four paths: act, review, escalate or hold.

How do we know it's accurate before we switch over?

It runs in shadow beside your current process, on your own data. It must match that process before any automation is switched on. No calibration, no automation. After go-live, real outcomes are joined back so that the stated confidence stays honest over time.

Which AI models does elan1 Decide use?

It works with any model. The default is a small, fast model, and one option is open source and can be self-hosted in India. Larger models take the hard cases, behind one adapter, so you are not tied to a single model vendor.

Which systems does elan1 Decide connect to?

It is designed to take work from email, APIs and queues. It passes actions to systems such as Guidewire, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Finacle, SAP and Salesforce through elan1 Govern. Decide never writes to a record on its own; Govern decides whether any change happens.

How is decision intelligence different from a rules engine or an LLM?

Rules break on messy documents, and large language models are too slow and costly to run on every event. elan1 Decide uses one fast pass by a small model that returns typed answers with confidence, and sends only hard cases to a reasoning model. The design target is under 800 ms, 95 times in 100.

Can elan1 Decide triage insurance claims?

Claims triage is one of its starting uses, and it is pre-release. It is designed for first-notice triage, fraud signals and queue assignment. Claims that clear your confidence threshold move on, uncertain ones go to a reviewer, and any change to a claim record passes through elan1 Govern first.
