Sovereign AI for government means running AI on infrastructure the public body controls, in the country, with contracts that let it swap components or leave a vendor. elan1 Run is designed for that: in-country hosting, open-source options for each part, and export and exit terms written into the contract.
Can elan1 run on-premises or air-gapped?
Not yet. Air-gapped and on-premises deployment is on the roadmap; ask us for the current order. Today, data is hosted in AWS Mumbai across 3 availability zones, with no US region, and elan1 Run is designed to run on infrastructure you name, including government and sovereign clouds operated by partners.
How does elan1 support RTI requests and audit?
Every approval and refusal is kept with who decided, what was decided and why, and can be exported on request for audit or a Right to Information Act 2005 application. Sanctions and payments above the delegation limit set under the General Financial Rules 2017 wait for the named officer.
Is elan1 MeitY empanelled?
Not directly. Public-sector delivery is planned through MeitY-empanelled cloud partners, and we will name them here once agreements are signed. elan1 holds no security certifications today. Our mappings to the DPDP Act and CERT-In directions are drafts for your counsel and auditors, not certification.
