elan1 is the governed write path for AI agents, built by ELAN1 AGENTIC TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was founded by M. K. Elango, a strategist to family business groups, founders and large organisations in India, the Gulf and South-East Asia, who also founded StartNet Ventures, Publytics and the Think TN Foundation.

01Story

We set out to build ten apps. We kept the part each one needed.

We set out to build ten agentic apps on one control plane. After about 100 days we kept only the part each app needed: one place that decides whether a record may change, says no when it must, and leaves a record anyone can read.

That is elan1 Govern. elan1 Work and elan1 Decide propose what should change and what the answer is; elan1 Run carries every call under contract. Only elan1 Govern allows, and it never lets a model produce an allow.

A model may produce a write intent. It may never produce an allow.

Mission

Put agents to work inside the business, and keep a person answerable for every action that commits it.

Vision

A business where the routine runs itself, the exceptions reach the right person, and nothing happens that no one can explain.

Ambitious about the outcome, specific about the constraint. Autonomy without accountability is not the goal.

03Founder

M. K. Elango

M. K. Elango is the founder of elan1. He also founded StartNet Ventures in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he has spent more than ten years working with founders and small businesses across the state.

He works as a strategist with family business groups, founders and large organisations in India, the Gulf and South-East Asia, and has written five books in manuscript, starting with Milk Mountain Moonshot. He also founded Publytics and the Think TN Foundation.

We state values, not intentions.

Shows up as: a logo specified in three numbers; one meter per layer; plans written as plans, with their level.

Composed

Parts that hold together.

One write path, one record shape, one stylesheet.

Shows up as: shared configuration, industry packs as configuration, no bespoke forks.

Plain

We say what a thing does, including what it costs and where it is weak.

Limits sit beside features, at equal weight.

Shows up as: a Limits section on every layer page, and a public list of the words we don't use.
